College Prep Summer Experience

The College Prep Summer Experience program for college-bound students with hearing loss is offered annually by the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) through four one-week sessions around the state: Auburn University ACT Camp, Jacksonville State University College Preparation Camp, Troy University Camp Success College Preparation Camp, and University of Alabama Base Camp – Career Exploration.

The deadline for 2018 applications is March 31, but applications will be accepted until all slots are filled. Enrollment is limited to ensure maximum personal attention, so those interested in participating are encouraged to apply early. 

Dates for 2018 College Prep are:

  • Auburn University ACT Academy – June 3-10, open to students entering the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade or recent high school graduates
  • Jacksonville State University College Preparation Camp – June 17-23, open to students entering the 12th grade or recent high school graduates
  • Troy University Camp Success College Preparation Camp – June 24-30, open to students entering the 12th grade or recent high school graduates
  • University of Alabama Base Camp Career Exploration – July 8-July 14, open to students entering 9th, 10th, or 11th grade
